Every Other Month

Approximate Number of Hours per Year:
Up to 20 Hours

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Build and strengthen relationships with universities in priority markets, connecting with professors and administrators to expand participation in the CAS International University Recognition Program. Represent the CAS at student events, most often through virtual presentations, to inspire future actuaries to pursue careers in general insurance and follow the CAS credentialing pathway. Increase student engagement with CAS Student Central and summer programs by actively promoting opportunities, connecting students to resources, and serving as summer program mentors.
  • Forge and nurture partnerships with GI employers in target markets, articulating the value of the CAS brand and capturing actionable insights on employer needs and perceptions to inform CAS strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic connections with local actuarial associations, regulators, and other influential organizations to expand CAS’s reach and impact in the region.
  • Lead and support the development, customization, and delivery of CAS presentations, webinars, and events that effectively engage African actuaries and insurance professionals to advance CAS objectives in the region.
  • Actively promote CAS through professional networks, social media, and contribute content (articles, testimonials, updates) for CAS communication channels that highlight African initiatives.
